The Sea Kunga Team
Our guides are fully qualified wilderness guides certified by the International Wilderness First Aid Association in B.C., Canada. They have guided trips in Belize, Cuba, Vietnam, British Columbia, India, Chile, Argentina and other exotic locations around the world. Our trips always include local guides and assistants who share with you their intimate knowledge of local folklore and way of life.
Ajinder (AJ) Garcha
Ajinder lives in Belize half the year and in Canada the other half. Ajinder is the founder of Seakunga Adventures and has been operating it successfully since 1994. He started off his operations in Belize and has since branched into trips in enigmatic Cuba and most recently the unknown islands of Panama. He has travelled extensively in the world and brings to his trips fluency in four languages and a wealth of knowledge and good humour.
Louis Godfrey:
Louis is one of those rare humans who always seems to be smiling or laughing. He has grown up by the sea in the village of Placencia and has followed his family traditions of fishing and guiding for a living. He brings his spear-fishing skills, local knowledge of the reef and delectable food preparation to enrich every trip.
MR. Berty:
Having spent his entire life on Belizean waters, Mr. Berty has an intimate knowledge of the sea from both the past and present. He is a fisherman, a sailor, an island dweller, a guide and much more. He touches all those he encounters with incredible warmth and generosity that is not soon forgotten. His work with us reflects his diversity of talents and he may show up on any one of our trips.
Bernabe Burgos
We are happy to have Bernabe back for another season in Belize, Cuba and Panama. Bernabe is full of energy and ideas and is equally comfortable in the marine environment or in the rainforest as he grew up in El Salvador and Belize. Bernabe is highly trained in risk management skills and wilderness first aid and has been guiding people in the tropics for 10 years. He is well-versed in natural history and applies his gentle attitude and love to all creatures and plants.
Isabeli
has worked & traveled all over Latin America. She was an Eco-tour
guide In Mexico where she also joined a survival course in the
Sierra Madre Mountains... and survived! She has also worked in Costa
Rica as a Naturalist guide and now, she is our Tour Leader in Cuba
and Belize. Although she has studied Marketing and Advertising, her
lifestyle is to travel. She loves music, sailing & cooking. If you
are on her Cuba tour watch out: she will insist on teaching you a
few salsa moves or some percussion beats! She is optimistic with a
highly contagious passion for Latin America. She is also training to
become a Yoga teacher.
